I teach history at a small high school in Virginia. This is my chosen profession, and I enjoy it immensely. I can honestly say that I enjoy getting up every day and going to work, and I can't imagine myself doing anything else. But I do have a hobby or two. I enjoy woodworking and I enjoy playing the guitar. About 10 years ago, I wed the two hobbies and began making acoustic guitars in my workshop. When I'm not at work or at Church or doing something with the family, I'm probably building a guitar.

I have been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. After serving a fulI-time mission for the church I went to BYU and got a B.S. degree and Psychology and a M.S. in Professional Counseling at Georgia State. Currently I work at a hospital in the ER with Behavioral Health patients. I am have been married for 11 years and have 2 children and two adult step children. My hobbies include guitar playing and I Iike to read a lot and hang out with my wife and kids. I have been playing guitar for 29 years. When I was 41 I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's Disease. There was a tremor in my right leg and I had problems wih balancing and more recently walking. It is progressively getting worse.

I grew up in Colorado, but I now live in Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes. I am an accountant by training, but I am currently the Chief Risk Officer for a large health insurance company. I met my lovely wife of 26 years while attending college in Hawaii. She is from the Philippines, and we have 3 beautiful children, a daughter age 25, a son age 22, and a son age 19. I have suffered two strokes, one at the age of 19 while serving a mission in the Netherlands, and another 6 years ago. I was baptized into the church in 2006. It has not been easy, but it has been worth it. I have faced many trials in my life, but the blessings far exceed everything. From a very young age I always wanted to own my own business. To live the dream of being your own boss and working in a family business. So in 1983 I started a furnitue store and have been working with my family in that business for over 25 years! It has been a wonderful experience and I have loved it. I married my High School Sweatheart in 1977 and we have 4 Sons and 2 Daughters. They are the love of our life, and they are all married now and we have 14 grandchildren.
