About Me
I am the oldest of four, and an uncle to the most adorable nephew and nieces in the world. I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I enjoy reading spy thriller novels, baking, spending time with friends, taking leisurely walks in the cool of evening, and keeping up with news and world events.

About Me
I grew up in San Diego, CA, but now live in Utah Valley with my wife and son. I'm a web developer by day, and political economist by night. I am passionate about defending eternal principles in any setting -- religious, political, societal, or otherwise. My eighth grade teacher once told me I had the "gift of gab". I suppose that about sums me up.

About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
I married my best friend in the Nauvoo Temple in June 2007. Being together has been so much fun, and we learn more about each other every day. He and I both graduated December 2010. My husband has a Masters of accountancy, and I have an education degree in music. We have a 2-year old son. He is the absolute joy of our lives, and he teaches us about love and our Father in Heaven by being the wonderful person that he is. He loves to eat fruit and cheese, has an exploding vocabulary, and has the sweetest smile. He just so happens to be one of the cutest toddlers on the planet. My little family recently moved to the Chicago-land area because my husband was offered a job here. I grew up in Chicago, and it is very exciting to be back. We miss beautiful Utah and her mountains, but we are ready to begin a new part of our lives, not to mention, the pizza in Chicago is fantastic. I grew up a member of the LDS Church, and I find great peace and happiness in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Everything about the Gospel has helped me become who I am and brought me to this very happy point in my life. It is very exciting to look forward to the rest of my life and know that I’ll be with the people I love in my family and surrounded by friends in the Church no matter where we live.

About Me
I'm just a simple gal. First and foremost I am a wife and a mother of two boys. Everything else I do revolves around those two roles. I love to run. I started running after my second child was born. I was going through a bit of an identity crisis, I didn't recognize myself physically or emotionally anymore. Running gave me a way to refocus myself. It gives me time to think, to process information, to put things in perspective. I've solved problems, had meaningful conversations with Heavenly Father, and planned lessons and talks while running. Getting in touch with my physical body has a way of opening up myself to the spirit. It helps that it also gives me awesome calves (which I may or may not spend time flexing in the mirror). I love to play the piano and started taking lessons again a few years ago. I mostly play classical music, I especially love Beethoven and Chopin. Though I love some Brahms and Mozart, well, I love a lot of composers. I'm pretty much obsessed with shoes, especially stilettos. I think I'm funnier than I actually am. I say awkward things without realizing it. And I can down more food than you'd expect for someone my size. That's me in a nutshell!

I'm an outdoorsman, a wildlife biologist, and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I was raised in the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina in a protestant background. My family found the Church in 1997 through the Boy Scout Program and we have had a wonderful life living with the restored gospel of Christ. I a graduate student in wildlife management, and I believe there is something most sacred in nature and enjoying its beauty and bounties. My career goal is to become a professional wildlife biologist and help manage natural resources. I am an avid outdoorsman and I believe nature is created of God to testify of His Son Jesus Christ, and that I am a steward of that creation to use it wisely. I love to hunt, fish, hike, camp, and spend my time in the outdoors. I find my greatest spiritual and inner strength in 3 places: the holy temple, my home, and in nature.

About Me
I program computers for a living. I started out in computer graphics in 1976 when it was not a household word. Originally I wanted to do computer graphic movies but that was about 19 years before Pixar made their first feature film so I ended up doing flight simulation instead. Later I got into analyzing computer programs and generating web pages from them. Now I'm using supercomputers to analyze data for the US government. I married a woman with three half grown kids. I adopted them and then we had three more together. That really helped cement the family together as the older kids loved being big brothers and sisters to the little ones. My wife died when our youngest was 18. I remarried and acquired three step children in their thirties and 10 now 12 step grand children. Two of my children now have children as well. One of my daughters is now like a sister to the step-daughter who introduced me to her mother. I love choral singing. I served in the Mormon Tabernacle choir for 4 years 1987-1991 when I lived in Salt Lake City. My wife and I now sing with the Mormon Choir of Washington DC.

I can do anything. I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I wrote that I can do anything because throughout my life I have adapted to various situations that have challenged me and stretched my abilities. I'm a daughter, wife, mother of five, grandmother of twelve, and friend to many. I love to read, travel, sing, play Classical piano, play games and puzzles, go on vacations and gather family history. Put me on a stage and I will perform for you with pleasure. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and used that throughout my child-rearing years in my own family and as a substitute teacher and tutor. I also managed my husband's dental offices when he started five from scratch. We have moved 11 times in our marriage, including living 3 years in Germany. I will be teaching English to students at the University of Electronic Science and Technology in Chengu, China, starting this fall.
