About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
I am a husband and father of 5 in central New Jersey. My wife and kids are great - they are patient with me. I love to try new things part and parsel for an ascribed adrenaline junky - flying, diving, running, soccer, softball. If it's interesting and of good report, I want to try it... I am a software developer for a day job specializing in Android, iPhone, BlackeBerry and Windows Mobile. My truest joys come in seeing my children seek to learn more of Jesus Christ, serving my fellow man and the peace that comes when I have given all my talents/efforts I can muster to serve the Lord.

My mother was raised in the church while my father was raised Catholic. They were married and then later sealed in the Portland, Oregon Temple. I have an amazing younger brother who I consider to be my best friend. I used to play Basketball, Volleyball and Tennis but I now play piano (as of November 2011) and work as a part time secretary. Math and science come easy to me but I really love being involved with people. I have been in the Navy, owned an upholstery shop, worked in construction, taught all sorts of classes and been a government bureaucrat. My hobbies run the gamut from skydiving to photography to Amateur Radio to woodworking. If I haven't done it, I wanted to try it!

About Me
I grew up in Hawaii, spending most of my first 28 years there. I worked in construction as a heavy equipment mechanic for 10 years. I did very well in high school and knew I was meant for more than turning wrenches. I moved to Los Angeles to be near my mom who was dying of cancer. While here, I took a job with a tractor dealer. My boss introduced me to my beautiful wife and to the Mormon Faith. My dear wife believed in me and encouraged me to go back to college when I was 32 years old. I graduated with a master’s degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University and now manage large development projects at one of the nation’s largest and busiest seaports. I have four wonderful children, two awesome sons-in-law and a faithful Labrador retriever. I live in Orange County, CA in the shadow of the Matterhorn at Disneyland and spend much of my time serving in the Church and in professional engineering organizations. When I retire, I am looking forward to serving a mission with my wife in our Church’s humanitarian relief efforts.

I'm a father of three. I teach 2nd Grade--in French. I'm a Mormon.

About Me
I was born in Centerville, Utah and have 2 sisters and 1 brother. My father is British, my Mother is American. I met my beautiful wife in 2005; we fell in love while rafting down the Green river. In 2009, I graduated with an MPA degree, and was excited to begin my new career. My wife and I were expecting our second child and were happy to have found a job in the middle of the recession. Everything was perfect! I had a promising position in a growing company, and I was good at my job, we had a great apartment not to far from family. There was only one problem: I couldn't shake the feeling that I was in the wrong career path. But, I stuck it out, telling myself that I needed to "bring home the bacon." My wife noticed my unhappiness and encouraged me to share my real dream: becoming a teacher. My wife and I had discussed the possibility for years, but had always felt that financial considerations precluded us--teachers are not known for their large paychecks. But with her encouragement, I began to explore that possibility. What was my delight when I was hired as a 2nd Grade teacher in the town where I had originally graduated with my degree. The past few years have been heaven, and somehow or other, we have been able to make ends meet, even with the addition of our third son. When I'm not teaching, I love to read books, cook bread (my wife says I'm a killer bread-maker!), play racquetball, strum on the guitar and of course play with my three boys.
