Hi, I'm Mike - People

My life changed when I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints "Mormon" at age 15

About Me

I grew up in New York in a large family. After HS, at age 18, I moved to California to attend an aeronautical university. A few years later, I was asked to be a Missionary for the ”Mormon” Church in Texas. While I was there, I worked with many military individuals and families in the Army, Air Force, Navy, & Marines. After my Mission and more schooling, I joined the Air Force, eventually working with their Space program. Because I loved what I was doing so much, I stayed in until “retirement.” Today, I continue working in the Space field, trying to make a difference. I am very happily married ~25 years!, have three sons and one daughter, and one very cheerful grandson. Besides spending time with my family, some of my other passions are, traveling, hiking, SCUBA diving, flying Cessna 172’s, watching good movies, and reading or listening to good books.

Hi, I'm Jared - People

About Me

Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

Hi, I'm Candee - People

We raised 6 children in Colorado. Now we're empty nesters in Arizona. Photography keeps family ties alive and makes new friends.

About Me

Since my children and grandchildren live a state away, I like to stay in touch with them through family photos. My favorite thing to do is to make photo books about their lives, and vacations we share together. Also, I belong to a camera club. I enjoy trying to be creative to surprise others, and I enjoy admiring their artwork. Photography is a medium through which I build relationships, exercise, and enjoy the out of doors.

Hi, I'm Ben Sarsozo - People

I'm very thankful to be a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the Church on July 3rd, 1983 at 6pm in Broomfield, Colorado. I was single at the time and shortly after getting baptized I met my sweet heart, Cindy. We have been married now for over 28 wonderful years. We have been blessed with 4 sons and 4 daughters. We are now starting to experience the joy of having grand children. Our first grand child is Caden and our second is Shiloh. It is amazing how important it is to have purpose and meaning in family life as you watch these little people come into the world. I dont pretend to think that life is void of challenges yet the Gospel bring me great peace and encouragement and confidence that my decendants have every reason to look forward to a wonderful and exciting future!

Hi, I'm Brandon - People

I’m a Mormon. But, I wasn‘t always a Mormon. I once was blind, but now I’m eternally alive. This is my story.

About Me

I’m an artist and designer. As an in-house graphic designer in California I designed for an international wholesale company with large corporate accounts. I was employed by an advertising agency as an intern, and freelanced on a variety of projects such as brand identity, publication, display, package and web design. As an exhibiting artist in multiple mediums I have shown paintings in The Luggage Store Gallery on Market Street in San Francisco, sculptural installation at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery, and as winner of best of photography at the Morris Graves Museum of Art. I was the artist book contest winner at the Anne Bremer Memorial Library for a hand-made limited edition book of drawings. My artwork has been reviewed by critics of the Times-Standard, Art Business, San Francisco Chronicle, and New York Times. I earned a BA in studio art with an emphasis in graphic design, a Master’s of Education with an emphasis in cross-cultural teaching, and a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in design + technology. I am currently an assistant professor of art and design, the visual arts program coordinator of our university and the president and founder of an independent book publishing company.

Hi, I'm Ben Jones - People

Mormon convert, adoptive father of 3, father of 3, grandfather of 2, stepfather of 3, step-grand-father of 12.

About Me

I program computers for a living. I started out in computer graphics in 1976 when it was not a household word. Originally I wanted to do computer graphic movies but that was about 19 years before Pixar made their first feature film so I ended up doing flight simulation instead. Later I got into analyzing computer programs and generating web pages from them. Now I'm using supercomputers to analyze data for the US government. I married a woman with three half grown kids. I adopted them and then we had three more together. That really helped cement the family together as the older kids loved being big brothers and sisters to the little ones. My wife died when our youngest was 18. I remarried and acquired three step children in their thirties and 10 now 12 step grand children. Two of my children now have children as well. One of my daughters is now like a sister to the step-daughter who introduced me to her mother. I love choral singing. I served in the Mormon Tabernacle choir for 4 years 1987-1991 when I lived in Salt Lake City. My wife and I now sing with the Mormon Choir of Washington DC.

Hi, I'm Aaron Green - People

I'm a hungry patriot, politician, martial artist, astronomer, full-time worker, husband, a humorous father and a I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the martial arts. Next to my Father in Heaven I credit my study of Taekwondo to what level of confidence and physical skill I have. The arts were there at an early age to facilitate normalcy of a medical condition that could've cost me my life. Though I am unable to actively pursue the arts as I once did I do honor and sustain it's precepts in my life. I am a patriot. I am loyal to the flag of the United States of America and the Constitution upon which this nation is built. Though my service in the United States Army was brief it did help me maintain a humility and awe for what it takes to defend the interests of this nation. May the flag so wave to the satisfaction of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and all the great men and women who have served honorable capacities for this nation. Especially those whose names are lesser or not known. I am honest. I've learned hard that honesty is the truest and best policy which to base your life. Though difficult and may put you in a pickle honesty will set you free. With honesty you are worthy of the freedom and liberty afforded you by your nation and God. With honesty you qualify yourself of the love of your friends and family. I love astronomy and the study of celestial events. I love history and the volumes it teaches us about the future. I love computers, internet design and it's proof of the glory of God - intelligence. I guess to break it all down into a nutshell I am a child of God.

Hi, I'm David - People

In-house game developer, chocolate lover, and hopefully famed dancer. Siempre, Mormon ako.

About Me

A bit nerdy. A knack for fine art. A star? No matter how much I wish I came from a Jewish background, hence the DAVID/STAR OF reference, I'm the great-grandson of an American immigrant. After living in Utah for a few years, some of my ancestors settled the deserts of Chiuaua, Mexico. Around the same time, my other ancestors were sailing around New Zealand. So basically I'm a proud Mexican and Kiwi, sounds tasty doesn't it? I like edit video games, but I love to visit art exhibits. Some of my typical Friday nights included me going to the campus independent film club. I never had a clue what they were saying but I guess that's where my love for reading came in. Aspiring dancer, film director, and senator, who knows what I'll be when I grow up.

About Me

Hi, I'm Donna - People

I am a daughter of God, a mother, a grandmother, a caregiver, a southern belle, and I, am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother of four adult children, one of whom serves in the Navy and Grammy to two precious identical twin grand daughters. I was blessed to care for my mother during the last few years of her life and I help care for my father today. I am one of the millions of converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has been one of the greatest blessings in my life next to my children and family. I converted at the age of 14 and I have never looked back accept in gratitude. With many years of perspective behind me I can honestly say that the church has been the single most influential and stabilizing factor in my life. I find myself often as a volunteer in various aspects of community service, especially working with service organizations. I still play softball weekly, and tennis when I can. I love the out of doors, such as white water rafting, hiking, backpacking, the beach, gardening and sports. I enjoy a good Angel game, an uplifting movie, finding a great new restaurant, and cooking for family and or friends, but above all intimate conversation with good company. I also have a great love for family history and genealogy. I am a survivor of marital abuse and my family was victimized by marital infidelity. Although my life has not always been easy, I have always been blessed.
