About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
I am the oldest of four, and an uncle to the most adorable nephew and nieces in the world. I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I enjoy reading spy thriller novels, baking, spending time with friends, taking leisurely walks in the cool of evening, and keeping up with news and world events.

About Me
I was born in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and ninety, Cache county, Logan Utah. of goodly parents, who spared no effort in bringing me up in the ways of the Lord. there was in the place where we lived, an unusual calm on the subject of Religion.... in the place where i didn't live, there was an unreasonable turmoil on the subject of Religion. Having looked around me and finding myself in Oregon and then back in Utah, i asked myself "what is to be done?" and i said "...I'll make a Mormon Profile! lol" I am the Youngest of Eight kids in the Calderwood Clan. I enjoy likening sotries to myself

I'm a Mormon convert from Colorado. After joining the Church, I was blessed to share the gospel with Chileans in Chile.
-
-
About Me
After returning from Chile, I waited for the beautiful girl, who introduced me to the Church, to return from her mission in Tahiti. We were married for time and all eternity in the temple of our God. We have raised a family of six children and sixteen grandchildren. We have served in the Church for many years as officers, teachers and assistants. We sing in the choirs, we participate in the cultural activities, we attend the temple, and share the gospel whenever we can, because we are so grateful for the great blessings we have enjoyed and because we want others to share in them as well.

I live in a small German town. I'm a depression surviver. I try to serve every day. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I'm a young adult from rural western Germany and converted to the Church at age 18. In fall 2012, I will start college and I will work on my degree in print journalism. I'm also preparing to serve a Mission for the Church because I want to share the joy the restored Gosepl has brought to me with others. I love to play soccer and basketball, meet new people, both read and write, as well as I just love spending time with my friends and family. I'm throughoutly happy in my life right now and I'm looking forward to all the great things that will come over the next years. But this has not always been that way: Prior to my conversion to the Church, I suffered from clinical depression for more than three years. I was looking so desperately for a deeper purpose in life, and had many essential questions that my former Catholic faith was not able to answer. I tried everything to overcome my depression and constant sadness, but nothing cured me prior to my development of a testimony of Christ, the Restoration, the love our Heavenly Father has for all of us, and the truth of the Book of Mormon.

About Me
I'm a 20-something farm boy from Kansas who loves learning everything about everything. I enjoy making music with the trumpet and my voice. I enjoy an occasional round of golf. I write and like to read the wholesome literature of the world. I love working with my hands and building things that allow me to express my creativity. I build rockets, airplanes, boomerangs, and other things that fly. I craft Native American style hunting bows from wood that I harvest from the land. Osage Orange is the best wood to use, by the way. I enjoy fabricating small machines like steam engines. I like being alone in the wooded areas of the farm on which I grew up. I hunt, fish, and camp as often as I can. I enjoy teaching others about things that I love. The most beautiful things in my life, besides my family, are the little moments of peace and calm that come from choosing to enjoy the simple things over all the noisy distractions in our busy world. I often wonder what this crazy world is going to give us next. I think about how I can contribute to the goodness of society. I am currently attending college where I am working to prepare myself in many ways to be a positive influence on my community. I want to have my own family in the future. I look forward to running my own funeral home in some small town someday. I want to be of service to all around me and feel that this occupation will enable me to do this in a meaningful way every day. I want to be a good person. I hope you do too. :-)

About Me
I'm a grandma in small town middle America now, but I was raised in California. I am married and have several children, some still in their teens. I love games and puzzles, poetry, good chick-flicks that have no embarrassing scenes (think "Emma," "Sense and Sensibility," "Sabrina," etc.), soft rock music, some pop, a few particular country songs, and my hubby is teaching me to enjoy a little classical music. I'm a full-time mother, and that keeps me very busy. I'm also intermittently working on a bachelor's degree.

I have served in two branches of the U.S. military and retired after nearly 2 score years in the airline industry. I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
After completeing my military assignments and 35+ years in the airline industry, I spent 6 months in Israel on a special assignment. The time in the airlines gave plenty of opportunities for travel (every continent but Antartica) but the six months in Israel was the highlight of my travels. My wife and I have continued to travel and are looking forward to many new adventures - more cruises, safaris and maybe even Antartica? We have three children - two who live close by and one several states away - and eight grandchildren. They are all dearly loved and we try to spend as much time with them as possible. I usually have a camera attached to me in some way. It started because I love to take pictures but now it is mostly because my wife (and me too I suppose) can't pass up the chance to take a photo of one of the kids. I enjoy raising a garden, growing fruit trees, grapes, many kinds of berries, and some nut trees.
