About Me
Attending Western Washington University in Bellingham has changed my life. I'm currently a double major: P-12 Art Education and English Literature for Secondary Education, trying to balance my two great interests and put my talents toward teaching. After I transferred from Tacoma Community College with my associate's degree in the fall 2010, I settled into life outside of my parents' house. Very soon after I moved here, I walked the Bellingham Institute, and found my second home. I'm serving on the Institute Council as a secretary and I love it. The rumors are true, our Institute building has the most beautiful view in the world: great, big windows in the back look out on Bellingham Bay and the serene Pacific Northwest.

As a trained architect I worked for the Mormon Church as the area architect for Europe. This was a challenging and rewarding time. Today I have my own office but preferr to spend time with my family.

About Me
Born in 1944 in Blue Water New Mexico, USA. My parents divorced when I was 6 yrs.old. Mother passed away when I was nine. I was permanently 'taken in" and raised but not officially 'adopted' by a Wonderful Aunt and Uncle, my new 'Mom' & 'Dad' ! 'Dad' always said they did not officially adopt my brother John and I so we could retain our biological family name of Stewart with all its genealogical/historical ties. I am a Viet Nam Veteran, in Viet Nam, Dec '65-Oct '66. I am what is commonly referred to as a "Member Convert"; born in the Church, went less active in my late teens to mid-twenties, then became active. I was helped to be 'reactivated' through friendship of a Joe Kahananui (sp?) while working on Kwajalein Island in the South Pacific, 1969-1972. I was single until I was 28 3/4. I worked on Kwajalein Martial Islands '69-'72 after which I returned to Southern Oregon College, Ashland, Oregon USA. Adjacent to campus at the Institute of Religion, I met my future Wife. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple early 1973. We've been married over 39 years! We lived in Alaska USA where my Wife is from for 30+ years, now retired in Utah USA. Parents of 5 wonderful children, 4 boys and a girl, grand-parents of 3 Wonderful Grand-Children! Joy in this life comes through Putting God First by learning and keeping God's Commandments, Coming Unto His Holy Son Jesus The Christ, living worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and making and keeping Sacred Covenants.
