About Me
Attending Western Washington University in Bellingham has changed my life. I'm currently a double major: P-12 Art Education and English Literature for Secondary Education, trying to balance my two great interests and put my talents toward teaching. After I transferred from Tacoma Community College with my associate's degree in the fall 2010, I settled into life outside of my parents' house. Very soon after I moved here, I walked the Bellingham Institute, and found my second home. I'm serving on the Institute Council as a secretary and I love it. The rumors are true, our Institute building has the most beautiful view in the world: great, big windows in the back look out on Bellingham Bay and the serene Pacific Northwest.

About Me
I was born and raised in southern California. My parents were divorced when I was 9. I had no religious background, until the age of 13, when my father and I met the missionaries and were baptized and became members of the LDS Church. I served a wonderful mission in southwest England and Wales, returning home in March 1972. I was married and sealed in the Provo Temple in December of 1972. My wife and I have four married children and 21 grandchildren. I served 6 1/2 years as a deputy sheriff in southern California. While a deputy, I was also teaching early morning seminary. In 1979, I left the sheriff's department, became a full-time seminary teacher and was assigned to teach in Arizona. I have been teaching LDS seminary and institute for 32 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's in Educational Psychology. My hobbies are coin collecting, studying military history (since my dad was a Marine), traveling with my wife, reading, and watching good movies. I love being a Grandpa!

I'm a college student. I'm a statistics major. I'm a volunteer, and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I'm currently a student at Purdue University. I'm studying statistics. I've always enjoyed numbers. I like to spend time with my friends and help others. I volunteer at a middle school once a week to help kids with their homework, and in-turn I get to speak Spanish with them. I really enjoy that opportunity. I'm almost always busy with schoolwork and other activities, but I still make time for my spiritual life. I enjoy taking classes at the Institute of Religion to focus a little more on what's eternally important. It's always tough to find that time, but it helps me get through the difficult days of studying long hours.
