Hi, I'm Eddie - People

I'm from the midwest, I cook, lift heavy things, sing in my truck and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the yougest in my family, of 5 children. I am single and enjoying the second half of my 20's. I am an aspiring Renaissance Man. Any time I learn about others skills or talents, I want to learn about it! Here are a few areas I've focused on the last few years. I enjoy cooking, learning new styles of cooking and trying new foods. I've worked at a Japanese Restaurant and a Cajun Restaurant. I love using a wok! There is no other cooking experience like stir frying! I love to expirement with recipes and make solid, delicious, simple meals. I love to lift things and I love moving them! This includes batteling ropes, sled pulling, Kettle Bells, Atlas stones, tire flipping, Jiu-Jitsu (moving other people!), Scottish Highland Games (especially the Highland Games) and helping people move (like loading and unloading moving trucks). I also enjoy tradational lifting, such as Squats, Deadlifts, Power Bench, Overhead Press and Renegade Rows. I am currently serving a mission for the LDS church. I am so excited to serve the Lord and share with others the truths that have changed my life. Many of my friends do not understand my decision to serve the Lord. They feel like I should continue with school. But I know that My Father in Heaven loves me and that this is what He wants me to do. I have been to school off and on and I'm excited to decide a new major when I return home in the fall of 2013.

Hi, I'm Emily - People

About Me

My name is Emily, and I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 27 September 2009. I am Deaf, but received bilateral cochlear implants in 2010. I found the church through my ballroom dance teacher and his wife (who became my best friend). Because I grew up in a divorced home with many difficult issues, their example to me of what a family could really be was critical in my process of learning about the church. My conversion took nine months of intense study, as well as behavior changes that included giving up alcohol, coffee, and piercings. Oh, and things like chastity and tithing. And learning that I do love my family, after all, and all the repentance work that comes with discovering what that means. I heart the Temple with all the heart I've got. I have gone almost every week since I got baptized. It has brought much healing to me and to my family. In my professional life that is an attempt to be self-sufficient, I am a licensed therapist with my PhD. For fun, I love ballroom dancing, and wandering through nature to write and paint. I enjoy taking pictures for my blog. I am single still, and that has been important for me to take time on my own to learn who I truly am as defined by Heavenly Father rather than defining myself by other people. I am a daughter of God! I know that marriage is an important part of the plan, and I look forward to getting married in the Temple when it is time. I have a little dog that I love very much. Even though he is ugly.

Hi, I'm Candee - People

We raised 6 children in Colorado. Now we're empty nesters in Arizona. Photography keeps family ties alive and makes new friends.

About Me

Since my children and grandchildren live a state away, I like to stay in touch with them through family photos. My favorite thing to do is to make photo books about their lives, and vacations we share together. Also, I belong to a camera club. I enjoy trying to be creative to surprise others, and I enjoy admiring their artwork. Photography is a medium through which I build relationships, exercise, and enjoy the out of doors.

Hi, I'm Kevin - People

I enjoy competing--on my road bike, on the golf course, at card games, and, in pie-eating contests. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I have free time, I have a hard time deciding: Should I go for a long bike ride, or, should I play a round of golf? Either way, I find great relaxation and inspiration being out-doors. But, I spend a lot of time in-doors as well. I enjoy helping people to identify and to achieve their financial goals--this can be very satisfying to me, and, very liberating and re-assuring to others. Also, I especially enjoy being with my wife (of nearly 35 years), and my five children and their spouses, and of course, my dozen grandchildren. When the weather is nice, I also enjoy working in the yard--planting flowers, trimming trees, mowing the grass, and helping make our home a place that others can enjoy. We enjoy family get-togethers at home, including: cook-outs, birthday parties, wedding receptions, and group activities and games.

Hi, I'm Ashley - People

I'm a Dentist, a wife, and hoping to be a mother some day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really like to pull teeth (when it is needed). I love to relieve patients from pain while having fun and doing some surgery in the process. I enjoy seeing many different people each day as a dentist. The more I help patients achieve optimum oral health the more I grow to love them and see how our Heavenly Father loves each one of his children on earth. Singing and playing the piano are some of my favorite hobbies. I love the outdoors as well. Playing board games with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do during the weekend. Something else I love is the Constitution. Our church believes that this document is inspired by God. I love to spend time with my husband. He is my best friend. We have been married eight wonderful years. We have had many blessings in our marriage, but we have not yet been blessed with children. We have tried for many years and have not had success. We have gone through many procedures and are now in the process of trying to adopt. We know we will be parents some day. Our Heavenly Father gives us trials to help us grow stronger. We have faith in Him and know we will receive promised blessings if we try our very best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These blessings may not come in the way we originally anticipated or even in this life, but His blessings are eternal.

Hi, I'm Shellie - People

I'm a wife & a mother of 4 sons. I love to travel, wakeboard, ride quads, skydive & try new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up UT, AZ & ID. My family seemed constantly on the move making me always the 'new girl', a title that sometimes got annoying. I was quite shy as a child so continually having to make new friends was difficult for me but through it all I learned many things about who I was and who I wanted to become and the many similarities and insecurities all people seem to share. After high school I attended BYU where I recieved the opportunity to travel for a semester to the Holy Land and got my first real taste of travel, a love which has continued with me ever since. Shortly after I married a wonderful man from AZ and we've lived in the sun ever since. Together we've been blessed with four sons whom we love dearly and are a great joy to our lives. As a family we believe in working hard and playing hard. We've spent our play/vacation time boating on the lakes in the Phoenix valley and Lake Powell; camping in the beautiful White Mountains and desert of AZ, and the dunes in Southern CA in all of which we've enjoyed riding quads, dirt bikes & buggies and made many great memories and survived with only a few broken bones. We've been able to travel to many parts of the world and have hopes of seeing much more in the future. I love reading, spending time with family, service in the church, and scrapbooking our travels-a hobbie which continues to change as technology advances.

Hi, I'm Chad - People

My name is Chad. I joined the church when I was about 18 years old and have been a member for about 25 years now.

About Me

My name is Chad. I'm a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which means I wasn't born a Mormon, but chose to become one once I learned all about it. I'm really happy I did too, it's been a great 25 years! Being a member has helped me to learn more about Jesus, and about Heavenly Father's plan. This plan is comforting to me. I believe in Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God, and that he is my Savior. I've been married almost 22 years, have a 15 year old daughter and an 18 year old son. I'm proud of all of them. The gospel helps me to be a better husband and a better dad because I know my family and I will always be together. I work in public affairs for the police department, own a small business, and my hobby (think passion) is keeping marine fish and corals. I like to make YouTube videos about my reef tanks and help others to learn the hobby.

Hi, I'm Blake - People

I'm 24 years old, a husband, an entrepreneur, a commercial real estate broker, an early morning seminary teacher and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a beautiful girl who is my best friend. I have many big dreams and goals that I have written down and carry with me wherever I go, but the most important goal I have is to be an amazing husband. Everything else is secondary to an eternal marriage with my wife. I am a commercial real estate broker. I love business. I don't believe that it is just by accident that I have ended up in this profession. I know that God has put me in a position where I can bless many lives in the work place.

Hi, I'm Dakota - People

I'm a lifelong learner and a devout follower of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying Secondary English Education and Japanese. I love spending long hours reading, writing, and, of course--spending time with friends. Most of my friends aren't members of the same Church as me but we have an amazing time together despite that. My favorite "hang-out" activity with friends is singing karaoke. Several times a year I make it a point to go support the arts by attending musical theater productions. I was heavily involved in this in high school and watching a well-done production brings me so much joy.

Hi, I'm Doug - People

I'm an Iowa Farmboy, I'm a Mariners Fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a bigtime baseball fan. I like watching most forms of athletic competition, probably due to the fact that My dad taught High School, and coached Baseball, and Basketball. I grew up in a big family (7 Boys & 1 Girl). We all grew up loving sports and participating as much as possible. I enjoyed a career in the Navy, and for a while officiated at girls Basketball games around the Kitsap Area, starting with the very young, and working my way up to High School. I coached for a while in the Central Kitsap Girls Basketball Association before, and while my daughters were playing, and ran clinics prior to each season starting for girls of varying experience levels. My wife and I enjoy good movies, dining with friends. We really like going to musicals (Phantom is probably the favorite for both of us) and traveling around the country, seeing the sights.
