About Me
My wife and I have been married since 1971. We have six children and 21 grandchildren living in 5 states coast to coast. We love family reunions at the beach, and try to find a house to rent big enough for all 35 of us to be under one roof for a week. It's a blast! I am a serial entrepreneur. I have founded or co-founded 4 successful businesses based on innovative technologies. The companies have been acquired by major corporations once we get them up and running. Innovation is my vocational passion. Perseverance is my forte. You can find out more about our family by clicking the link to our blog. Naturally it's all about our forever family!

About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
My name is Jefferson. My wife and I have three children, three years of age and younger! Our son Talmage is the oldest, and then we have the twins (Sierra and Savanna). Our home can be described best with one word, LOUD! If the three are not all laughing and giggling together, then someone is almost always crying. Having three little ones so close in age can be challenging with 3x as many diapers to change, 3x as many kids to wrestle into car seats, 3x as many ears to wash behind, but it is also very rewarding. My wife and I are constantly amazed and humbled by our children. They have tender little spirits, and an enormous amount of love for one another, mom and dad, and the Lord. Nothing could be sweeter than to hear them speak to their heavenly father in prayer. As you can imagine, buying diapers for three children can be expensive! Fortunately, the Lord has blessed me with a job as a physical therapist to support my family and to provide for their temporal needs. I immensely enjoy what I do! Everyday I have the opportunity to work with Individuals who have become physically disabled after suffering a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or a massive stroke. Many of these individuals have completely lost the ability to walk. Helping these individuals regain their physical strength and teaching them to walk again is very rewarding!

About Me
Hi! I'm Kathryn. I'm a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City in 1948. I have been married for 40 years (to the same kind, incredibly patient man). Together we have two grown children -- a son and a daughter. I am a retired computer programmer/systems designer who loves to travel, garden, write, attend the theatre, talk about my faith and spend time with my two dogs and one cat.

I'm a Husband and Father, I'm a Professor of German, and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I am a professor of German and a linguist, and I love what I do! I live my dream job teaching people about my favorite language and learning of the origins of any given word. In addition, I am a singer and an avid swimmer. This year, I completed the swim stage of the iron man, and last year, I swam the fastest 50-yard freestyle of my entire life. Not bad for a guy pushing 40. More than any of these, though, my greatest joys are found at home. I have been married to the love of my life for 15 years -- I adore my wife and am proud to call her my own. Together, we are the parents of three beautiful children. Each is an individual: Our oldest is about to turn 12. She is both head-strong and shy -- an unusual combination. She excels at most everything she does! Our second, another girl, is the kindest single person I have ever known. She typifies pure charity! Our youngest is our son. He surprises us each day with his almost impossible intellect. He's just two, but talks and reasons far beyond his age -- I don't know how many 2-year olds start sentences with the word, "actually." He even figured out how to open the child-proof latches in our home three days after we installed them! I am also a son. I equate much of the goodness of my life to the rearing of two exceptional parents, who raised me to know of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and my Savior's plan of happiness for everyone. The man I have become is, in no small part, due to their parenting -- thanks, Mom and Dad!

I'm a language lover, a music maker, a multicultural food devourer, a teacher of my kids and grandkids. And I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I love pulling people closer into my circle and expanding my circle to include them. I love the languages and cultures and the people of Central Asia, and I enjoy being a language administrator. Most of my co-workers are Muslim, and I love working with them as we create textbooks, multimedia materials and mobile apps for Turkic and Iranian languages. We also teach language and culture to students from academic, business, military and other governmental organizations, many of whom later travel or work in Afghanistan, Western China or various Eurasian countries. I enjoy creating music, vocal and instrumental. I also love roller coasters and stormy weather. I’ve been laid off twice. Despite trials and defeat, I have always felt a success as a parent, and as a result, I’ve felt successful in general. I love my wife. She is an organizer extraordinaire; her influence as a teacher of youth cannot be measured. We are empty nesters with six amazing adult kids, a daughter and five sons. We have a bunch of wonderful grandkids. My favorite age is the teenage years. I love having teenagers; it's when their hearts and minds kick in in full gear. Teenagerhood -- well prepared for -- is a joy. Real travel for me starts where English is not spoken and dollars are not used. I love eating international foods of all sorts and discussing them with my family. I enjoy talking to folks of all sorts; I love learning from people who aren't like me.

I'm a ginger, I like to bake at absurdly late hours of the night, and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I love to laugh, and make others laugh. I realized at an early age that if I could make others laugh, I could become their friend that much easier. I love meeting new people and being able to connect with them through laughter and the joy it brings. When I can, I love to explore the world around me and travel. I love to write about my travels and experience new things that shake me out of my comfort zone. I'm spontaneous and courageous, and I'm willing to go through great lengths to help those around me. For some reason, I love to start baking at late hours of the night--most likely because I'm a night owl and catch my second wind at 10pm. I find that I'm able to create connections with others through good food, and I'm constantly trying to improve my skills so that I can become a better baker. I currently work for a nonprofit organization as the volunteer coordinator, which allows me to meet new people on a daily basis. With my job, I get to serve and play with kids, as well as help others within my community learn how to effectively serve. I love being able to create connections to individuals that I would never have met had I not taken the leap to dedicate a portion of my life to serving my community.

About Me
I’m an artist and designer. As an in-house graphic designer in California I designed for an international wholesale company with large corporate accounts. I was employed by an advertising agency as an intern, and freelanced on a variety of projects such as brand identity, publication, display, package and web design. As an exhibiting artist in multiple mediums I have shown paintings in The Luggage Store Gallery on Market Street in San Francisco, sculptural installation at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery, and as winner of best of photography at the Morris Graves Museum of Art. I was the artist book contest winner at the Anne Bremer Memorial Library for a hand-made limited edition book of drawings. My artwork has been reviewed by critics of the Times-Standard, Art Business, San Francisco Chronicle, and New York Times. I earned a BA in studio art with an emphasis in graphic design, a Master’s of Education with an emphasis in cross-cultural teaching, and a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in design + technology. I am currently an assistant professor of art and design, the visual arts program coordinator of our university and the president and founder of an independent book publishing company.

About Me
I was born in Wisconsin, but other than those first two days of my life on earth, I lived in Minnesota all my life, and I loved it there. My family consists of two loving parents and the best sister a brother could ever ask for! My sister and I are best friends, which is inevitable, seeing as we are the only two, and we grew up doing everything together! They recently moved to Missouri. I play the piano - particularly classical music. Chopin is the BEST - had to be said! I also enjoy working on cars and working with animals, and I love the country life. I am 22 years old and am currently serving in the Nevada Las Vegas West Mission and loving every minute of it! I have found the joy in helping others have faith in the Savior and come closer to Him, and the strength that comes from having personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His perfect, infinite Atonement. After my mission, I plan on attending college and pursuing a career as an auto mechanic and raising a righteous, Christ-centered family.

I'm a New Mexican, I like to read the encyclopedia, and I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I am from a littler-sized town in New Mexico, lived there until I was 17 years old. I'm the youngest of 5 kids, and basically enjoy the small things in life like a well-placed water fountain, a good laugh at old memories, a long run on a hot afternoon in the hills of New Mexico, and time to sit and think about...everything. I love studying history, skiing, racquetball and ultimate frisbee. I have completed two years at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and will one day grow up and be a Marine. However, I'm taking a short break from that and am currently serving as a missionary in the greatest mission in the whole world California Santa Rosa.
