Hi, I'm Michael - People

"I am called [a] Mormon ... I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God."

About Me

I am the oldest of four, and an uncle to the most adorable nephew and nieces in the world. I grew up in a small city in central California--small by California standards, anyway--and attended a university in but not OF Utah where I earned two degrees in physics, and now live in southern Nevada where I am an adjunct professor at a community college. I enjoy reading spy thriller novels, baking, spending time with friends, taking leisurely walks in the cool of evening, and keeping up with news and world events.

Hi, I'm Greg - People

I'm a husband, father, grandfather, writer, musician, computer geek, and judo student--and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the Church since 1978. I was the first member in my family. My wife and I have been married since 1983. We have five wonderful children and a rapidly-growing number of grandchildren. I work in the Information Technology field, teach guitar, study judo, and I'm the author of several LDS-oriented books. I also write for the Examiner. I'm grateful to be a member of the Church and to have the restored gospel in my life.

I'm married with one son and one daughter. The son is quadriplegic, but doing well. The daughter is preparing for college. I'm a programmer by profession--love the work! I used to love reading thrillers by authors like Allistair MacLean, Desmond Bagley, Helen McInnis. Now I enjoy reading non-fiction like Benjamin Franklin's biography and books by conservative authors on the New York Times Bestseller list. I like camping, but don't get to do that very often. I took up golf a couple of years ago, and I love it!

Hi, I'm Tom - People

I'm a spouse, a father, a feminist, a computer programmer, an amateur scholar of Ancient Greek, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an individual with varied interests and hobbies. First and foremost I am a father to my daughters and a husband to my partner of several years. She is an incredible woman with more endurance in difficulty and seeking after challenges than I who has taught me many things, both in terms of life but also intellectually. I am by trade a computer programmer. I am also an armchair classicist and have studied Ancient Greek and love learning about the ancient world. In so many ways it is like a foreign country: simultaneously similar and yet different to our own culture. I guess it's difficult, but in this regard I enjoy the difficulties. Puzzles fascinate me and I love thinking.

Hi, I'm Tim - People

I'm part American, part Canadian, and all Oklahoman — and yes, a Mormon too! How cool is that?

About Me

I was born and raised both as a Catholic, and a troublemaker of sorts whose incessant questioning about the nature of God led me to the waters of baptism where at age 12, I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Asking questions has always been a part of my life. Sometimes that has caused difficulty both in my personal life, as well as in my career. However, I have long lived the belief that “one need never apologize for the truth, for it will always stand on its own.” I live an exciting, meaningful life that has solid direction and meaning, and which runs on two speeds... FAST and STOP. I don’t relax as much as I should and I know I need to slow down on occasion, but the life I have now is one I wouldn’t trade for the world! I'm part American, part Canadian, and all Oklahoman. I’m a husband, father, friend, empty nester, nerd, and political analyst. I believe the Constitution of the United States was inspired of God, that freedom of religion means freedom for all religions. My name is Tim, and I’m proud to be a Mormon!

Hi, I'm Ben Jones - People

Mormon convert, adoptive father of 3, father of 3, grandfather of 2, stepfather of 3, step-grand-father of 12.

About Me

I program computers for a living. I started out in computer graphics in 1976 when it was not a household word. Originally I wanted to do computer graphic movies but that was about 19 years before Pixar made their first feature film so I ended up doing flight simulation instead. Later I got into analyzing computer programs and generating web pages from them. Now I'm using supercomputers to analyze data for the US government. I married a woman with three half grown kids. I adopted them and then we had three more together. That really helped cement the family together as the older kids loved being big brothers and sisters to the little ones. My wife died when our youngest was 18. I remarried and acquired three step children in their thirties and 10 now 12 step grand children. Two of my children now have children as well. One of my daughters is now like a sister to the step-daughter who introduced me to her mother. I love choral singing. I served in the Mormon Tabernacle choir for 4 years 1987-1991 when I lived in Salt Lake City. My wife and I now sing with the Mormon Choir of Washington DC.

Hi, I'm Marty - People

I was born and raised in Wyoming and lived there for 16 years, I then moved to Colorado, I'm an Athlete, a Thespian, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a senior and I attend seminary every day at six in the morning. I am also an athlete I play football, lacrosse and basketball. I know that my heavenly father has blessed me with athletic talents and I know that he has blessed me with my decision making skills and has given me a family that has taught me the importance of the church, especially in this dispensation. I know the importance of serving a full time mission. I'm going to be eighteen in February and I am working hard to prepare for my mission. I know that Heavenly Father has given me gifts that would allow me to go to college earlier and stay there but I would give up sports in a heartbeat to serve the Lord in one of the most glorious ways possible. I know that my Savior lives, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and Jesus and our Heavenly Father appeared to him. I know that Thomas Spencer Monson is our prophet today and he receives and talks to our Heavenly Father. I know that the book of Mormon is a true book and is another testement of Jesus Christ. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on this earth today. And I know that I can get back to my Heavenly Father again through his plan. Mostly I'm happy that I was born in a family that was brought up in the church. I'm happy that I'm a Mormon
