Hi, I'm Aaron Green - People

I'm a hungry patriot, politician, martial artist, astronomer, full-time worker, husband, a humorous father and a I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the martial arts. Next to my Father in Heaven I credit my study of Taekwondo to what level of confidence and physical skill I have. The arts were there at an early age to facilitate normalcy of a medical condition that could've cost me my life. Though I am unable to actively pursue the arts as I once did I do honor and sustain it's precepts in my life. I am a patriot. I am loyal to the flag of the United States of America and the Constitution upon which this nation is built. Though my service in the United States Army was brief it did help me maintain a humility and awe for what it takes to defend the interests of this nation. May the flag so wave to the satisfaction of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and all the great men and women who have served honorable capacities for this nation. Especially those whose names are lesser or not known. I am honest. I've learned hard that honesty is the truest and best policy which to base your life. Though difficult and may put you in a pickle honesty will set you free. With honesty you are worthy of the freedom and liberty afforded you by your nation and God. With honesty you qualify yourself of the love of your friends and family. I love astronomy and the study of celestial events. I love history and the volumes it teaches us about the future. I love computers, internet design and it's proof of the glory of God - intelligence. I guess to break it all down into a nutshell I am a child of God.

Hi, I'm Ron Schill - People

I train young people to create business and social impact enterprises to help alleviate poverty around the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from California, and my wife and I have nine children (five boys and four girls) and thirty grandchildren. My main hobbies are 1) my grandchildren, 2) world travel and new cultures, (3) cultural photography, and 4) making music. I served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. Soon after, I decided to become a college professor and spend my career teaching, motivating and working with young adults interested in becoming leaders of change for the better. I taught at the Marriott School at Brigham Young University-Provo for thirty-two years and also at many different universities around the world. I retired from BYU and am now a professor in California. However, the most important things that I have learned in my life have come from my knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Why am I a Mormon? Not because I am perfect. I am far from perfect and have several areas of weakness, but I know that if I am humble and try to do better each day, the Lord will help me to change whatever is my weakness into strength. By learning and striving to live the teachings of the Gospel within the Church, I can eventually reach my full potential and become the best person that I can.

Hi, I'm Ricole Michelle - People

Triathlons fuel my passion. Zumba challenges my stamina. The Gospel sustains me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a triathlete. The components of triathlons (i.e. swimming, cycling and running) explain my thoughts about me. The way I swim helps others to understand how I approach adversity. Dark and murky water often hinders my vision from the buoys throughout the course. I push through and keep focused on the markers of the race. Life tries to mask my vision of eternal goals and potential, yet I push through the masking fog and overcome adversity. The way I cycle conveys how I prepare for the future. The bike no longer travels straight if I look back at the road behind me. The only way to go faster and increase motivation are to look at what's to come down the course. My life seems to go easier as I look further down the 'road' with an eternal perspective. The way I run exemplifies how I teach and impact others lives. I lift my legs when they are tired. I keep my chin raised in determination. I lift the tired spirits of friends and strangers. I teach others to raise their heads in determination to be the one to change for the better.

Hi, I'm Deryl - People

Former dropout, now Harvard grad; being Mormon sustains my faith and curiosity.

About Me

When I was a child, my mother encouraged my natural curiosity about the world around me with books, science kits, trips to museums and historic sites. On a family trip to Boston, she made a point to show me the campuses of Harvard and MIT. Well, later, after many years of misguided adolescence and plenty of mistakes, I came to my senses and returned to the Church and principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that my parents taught me. A mission to Italy reawakened my curiosity in science and society, and the chance to serve selflessly gave me purpose that still sustains my faith and inquiry. I went from a near high school dropout to now a Harvard grad and current academic researcher.

Hi, I'm Rick Miller - People

I live in Texas with Julie, her dad, & my folks. All 3 parents are in their 80s. We have 4 married kids. I"m happy & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happily married man of almost 34 years with a saint of a woman. We are blessed to have 4 children - 1 daughter and 3 sons. All are married and we love their spouses as if they were our own children. I have aged a bit over the years and not quite the energetic - frenetic - presence I was when we were first married. After graduating from college and then MBA school, I worked in a bank, but felt the need to go out and work on my own for a while. I did that for 10 years in various business ownership capacities - some very successful and then others not quite so successful. In other words, I had my "mid-life crisis" very early in life. Eventually, I went back to banking and have enjoyed traveling around the country for them. This job has provided me the opportunity to focus on the things that matter most in my life - my family and my faith. When I am home from traveling, I am truly HOME. I love being near or on the water. Over the years we have owned a home near a river and lake, and now have a boat where we can go out on the water and feel the beauty of that environment. I enjoy reading a book or magazine on the boat as the sun is coming up - it is such a beautiful and renewing setting. Unfortunately, I don't get to spend near as much time there as I would like, especially the more grandchildren we have. Now THEY have become the beautiful and renewing aspect of my life, as I love to spend time with them baking, watering flowers, swimming, or playing games. I am blessed.

Hi, I'm Bruce - People

I grew up in northern NJ. I became a Mormon in 1965 during my sophomore year in college.

About Me

I was raised Protestant in an affluent NJ suburb. My religious activity stemmed more from social/parental expectations rather than any commitment of my own. I am also the product of a NJ boy's boarding school which, on hindsight, played a significant role in my spiritual development. The comfortable influence of an LDS neighbor family coupled with my own mild religious curiosity which took hold during my freshman year in college, eventually led to my investigation of the LDS Church. The New York World's Fair was simultaneously underway and my visit there led me to explore and to compare and heighen my interest. I was baptized in 1965. I completed college in upstate NY in 1968 then served a 2-year Church mission in southern California. This was followed by a 3 year Army hitch [1971-1974]. I married in 1972. My wife and I have 8 kids ages 16 to 38 including 2 married daughters and 6 grandkids. I am currently retired. I love baseball & collect baseball memorabelia. I dabble in simple magic. Our family shares a passion for the theater, especially broadway musicals. Genealogy [family history] has also become a passion in recent years. I enjoyed a 35-year career in manufacturing/marketing. Age 65.

Hi, I'm Sharron - People

I'm a Mormon. I was born, raised, and I married in Southern California. I am a polio survivor.

About Me

When I was 2 years old, I contracted polio, which resulted in paralysis of one leg and hip. I spent many months of my youth undergoing surgery and physical therapy at Shriner's Hospital, first in Salt Lake City and then in Los Angeles. The hospital stays were four to six months long and at that time patients were allowed visitors on Sunday for two hours in the afternoon. Not more than two adults could visit me at a time and children were not allowed to visit. I worked hard to become stronger physically. At the same time I devoted my best efforts to school work and learning to play the piano. I eventually could walk without a brace or crutches but still had a noticeable limp. I graduated from College and became a court reporter. I married and my husband and I became the parents of five children. I was able to stay at home and raise our children. I taught piano lessons, served in the PTA, and served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Eventually symptoms of post-polio became apparent in my legs, which required that I use a brace and crutches again. When my children married, I worked as a court reporter until post-polio affected my hands. Not to be defeated, I became an administrative assistant for a University. I retired recently and now work part-time for the University, serve as a literary specialist as a Service Missionary, teach piano, and serve in the Temple. I love to read, knit, sew, play piano, and spend lots of time with my grandchildren!

Hi, I'm Nathan - People

I had a "change of heart"...18 years ago. My faith in God has sustained me. I am thankful for the gift of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband, a Father and Grandpa. I have always loved playing sports, particularly volleyball and tennis. I am retired from a career as a Quality Engineer. I always tried my hardest to keep up with the other kids when growing up, never suspecting that my irregular heart beat had anything to do with me coming in second place...or forth or last. Never had I mentioned to my parents, my concern. I just kept working harder to excel in all I tried to do. Years later, and well into my career and subsequent marriage and being blessed with two boys, I continued playing ball and coached and joined into sports with my boys. I would sometimes asked my wife why I was always so tired. She would respond, "Be patient wait upon the Lord." When I worried and pondered for answers, a feeling came into my heart clearly, as if I heard the words, "Do something about it, God is waiting on you!" My wife and I finally made the decision to undergo a series of tests with Cardiologists and eventually with a Thoracic Organ Transplant Team. In 1993 I was blessed to qualify for the "list" to receive a new heart and miraculously a heart became available for me in Sept 1993. I am so happy for the "gift of life" and try now my hardest, as I did many years ago as a youth...this time, doing my best to honor my donor and myself in an effort to serve and bless lives. I believe I, and in some ways my donor, also represent and do honor to the Lord, thanking Him each day for the Gift of Life.
