Hi, I'm Jason - People

I'm a father of three boys, a husband, and a software developer. I can whistle and hum two parts simultaneously. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born the only child of two good parents, who showed me by example to work hard, to do good, and to respect the Lord. I had a lot of spare time growing up, which I spent doing math problems, teaching myself how to develop video games and other computer programs, and building a tree house. I also played cello, french horn, and piano, sang in a regional boys choir, learned to simultaneously whistle and hum in harmony; and I occasionally arranged music for my school symphonic band. Now I work for a large software company, helping develop the graphics driver on a major video game console. I've never been a fan of violent games, It makes me sad to hear of people who waste their lives being addicted to them. I've used whatever small influence I have to help shift the company towards more family-friendly games and improved parental controls. I enjoy being with children, and have seriously considered a career change to become a school teacher. Now I have a wonderful wife and three energetic young boys. We read books, play board games, go to the park, watch movies, and play piano together. I love my family.

Hi, I'm Kirk Peterson - People

I'm a Mormon. I've had the incredible opportunity of teaching at international schools in 8 countries for the past 24 years.

About Me

I was born in 1957. My father was a high school teacher and a cowboy. My mother was a homemaker. I am the eldest of six children. I have three brothers and two sisters. I had a wonderful childhood growing up in beautiful Northern Utah. From the earliest age I've had a keen interest in the countries and cultures of the world. I remember watching the migrant workers laboring in the agricultural fields that surrounded my home. I was particularly impressed by the travel slides that were presented at my elementary school by a young teacher who had traveled the world and shared a wealth of information with us. In the sixth grade I attended our little town cinema with classmates and viewed the Rogers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. This film had a great impact on my life by wetting my appetite to see the world. In high school I took Spanish for three years and was able to participate in a summer travel program to Mexico. We had a wonderful experience living with host families in Guadalajara. My summer in Mexico opened a whole new world to me! After graduating from high school I got a job washing dishes at a university cafeteria and had the chance to associated with many international students. It was wonderful to work with student from all around the world. At the age of nineteen I applied to serve two years as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was thrilled to receive a call to serve in the Philippines! After an incredible two years of serving as a missionary in the Philippines I returned to Utah and pursued higher education. After eight years of working part time and attending university classes I graduated with double Bachelor of Science degrees in geography/sociology and secondary education/history. During the course of my studies I earned an International Studies Certificate and had the opportunity of living and studying in Mexico City for six months. My first professional teaching assignment took me to the island of Guam where I worked for five years. I returned to Utah and earned a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology/School Library Media. After attending graduate school I headed out once again to work overseas. I have taught in the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Switzerland, Oman, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Over the course of teaching twenty-three years, I've had the opportunity of visiting sixty three countries. I've had a marvelous life teaching abroad and exploring the world. My international experiences have broadened my perspective on life and has given me an incredible appreciation for the people and cultures of the this planet.

Hi, I'm Kevin V. Hunt - People

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Greetings! I am Kevin Hunt. I live in Arizona. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of my life. In fact, my ancestors - back five to eight generations - have all been members of the Church. Our Hunt ancestors joined the Church in Kentucky and came to Utah in 1856. Folks on my mother's side are Danish. They joined the church in Denmark. All of our ancestors came to Utah and the West via covered wagon - and a lot of walking - and were asked by Church leaders to settle in different areas of Utah. I grew up in a town founded by Mormon settlers. I went on a Church mission to Alabama, Florida and Georgia and learned the native language. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Utah and it was there that I met my wife. We both had the same Youth Leadership classes and earned the same degree. I had an emphasis in Boy Scouting and hers was Girl Scouting. We scouted each other and the rest is history. We had eight dates over a two year period and I proposed (finally) by mail. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church. That was over thirty years ago and things are still going well for us. I worked professionally for the Boy Scouts of America for seven years and loved directing the summer Scout Camps and developing programs and activities. I have since worked in various administrative jobs such as insurance, bookkeeping, human resources, etc. My wife and I recently pooled interests and abilities and have started our own catering business. We have nine children. We actually wanted twelve but, as my wife says, "Nine is FINE!". And with that bunch (six girls and 3 boys) we now have twelve grandchildren (nine boys and three girls). They are our life and we love them a great deal. My interests include Boy Scouting, cooking, outdoor Dutch oven cooking, wood carving, wood working, landscaping my yard, building outdoor structures (gazebos, BBQ ramadas, etc.) to make our back yard look like a log cabin, staging parties and gatherings, reading, doing family history research and researching and preparing biographies of ancestors. I am also an avid journal keeper and I have a written journal entry for every day of my life since age 18 (so that equates to 132 volumes of about 200 pages each). Writing books is another special interest. I have written several books about Scouting and youth leadership - including a history of Scouting in the LDS Church. I've also written other books on values - and these are geared to young children, a book about journal writing, one about Christmas (written almost entirely from my own personal journals) and some on other Gospel topics. And my wife and I have actually written the first volume about our crazy courtship and life with nine children. No one would believe all that - but it's all written in my journal! I enjoy life and being with my family and friends. I enjoy and appreciate my membership in the LDS Church. We have a good life and are happy.

I'm a wife and mother of three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother to three beautiful kids. I like to cook, bake, read, swim, sew and do other crafty things. I am trying to figure out how to balance all the things on my "To Do List", play with and teach my children and not lose myself in the process. I would love to go back to school and finish my nursing degree in the near future as well. I would also like to start dancing again! I started clogging when I was four years old and was on a competition and performing team until I graduated from high school. I miss it and I want to be able to teach my kids too.
