I'm a Mormon. I have done hard things in the past, but nothing has been harder for me than raising a daughter with autism.
-
-
About Me
I am happy wife and mother of 7 children. I have lived most of my life in Arizona, but have also lived in Utah & Chicago. I loved serving an LDS Mission in Japan for a 1 1/2 years. It strengthened my beliefs in the gospel and taught me to do hard things. I graduated from college and encourage my children to do the same. One of my daughters has autism. It has been a challenge for our whole family, but I am grateful to know that God has a purpose for all of our challenges. My daughter has severe autism. She doesn't speak and we have been trying to toliet train for 5 years. There are days I think I can't handle another minute, and then there are days that she is so sweet that I know she is a gift. I know God knew we would love and take care of her and He also knew she would teach us patience and unconditional love. I know she gives our family depth and united purpose.

About Me
My husband is from Guatemala, I'm from Hawaii and and we met in Honduras. We were married in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple and are blessed with a son and a daughter. I have loved learning about being a mother and about Heavenly Father's beautiful plan for his children. I know Heavenly Father loves us, as I have learned about the kind of love he has for us, his children, while raising my two children. My husband and I both come from very close-knit families that love to eat and dance and talk. I love to travel to new places, learn about new cultures and share my own culture with others, try new foods and cook new recipes, and make new friends.

About Me
Language is my passion. I collect and treasure small phrases of different languages like another person might collect and treasure rare stamps or love letters. I am enthralled by the ways people communicate with syntax, semantics, and more. I am fascinated by the fact that in English, I can listen to two people saying the exact same words, and yet, I hear them conveying two different meanings. The captivating thing about language is that it, like me, is more than just a sum of its parts. To someone else, my life might appear average hardly distinguishable from any other young adult. In fact, I would be hard pressed to find a characteristic of mine that was only mine and not shared by any other person. Take for example, the Mona Lisa--paint on a canvas really. Many artists work with the same colors and the same paint, and yet there is only one Mona Lisa. To the untrained eye, it might appear that my life has been painted from a common medium, but the truth is that my life is truly remarkable. As for the particulars about me, I am currently in graduate school to become a school psychologist. I play the harp and dream of one day owning my own concert harp. I love to read. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I study with music because it helps me concentrate. I attend church every Sunday and read the Book of Mormon every night before I go to bed. And there are a million other little things that altogether make me uniquely me and make me who I am.

I enjoy reading, baking cookies, playing the piano, and volunteering at my children's schools. I earned a degree in English and Secondary Education, and the library is one of my favorite places. I served a mission for our church in Argentina, where I developed a love for the people of Argentina and the Spanish language. My life for the past 22 years has been devoted to full-time motherhood, which has been both a challenge and a joy. My husband is my best friend.

I grew up as a Navy brat. I'm a married stay-at-home mom of three - two adopted from foster care. I'm a Mormon.
-
-
About Me
I spent my childhood traveling the United States because my dad was serving in the Navy as an aviator and we packed up house every couple of years. It wasn't until I married that I settled down in one place long enough to "grow some roots". I'm a stay-at-home mom of three. I've become a reluctant expert in the emotional issues that attend older child adoptions as a result of building our family through foster adoption. I LOVE to read and am so happy that my "addiction" has rubbed off on my kids. I dabble in crochet and cross-stitch and scrap booking. I'm not much of a cook but I can fix a leaky faucet or refinish a chair!

My assignment is to visit people who do not come out to church and extend a hand of friendship.

About Me
I am a stay at home mom. I love to be able to be at home to raise my daughters. I grew up in the midwest and left home for college after high school. I met my husband in college and have been married for eleven years. We have been through a lot together. My husband is a dentist and enjoys his profession. Being the wife of someone who owns a business is at times tough because of the work and time it requires, but the Lord blesses me to have faith and patience to support him in his profession. I love playing the piano and violin. I started piano in middle school and have enjoyed playing ever since. The second year of my marriage I started as an adult learning the violin. Over the years I have taken lessons here and there and really enjoy playing. Every week I meet with a group of ladies and we practice strings together. We all have families that allow us to take a little time each week to play and learn from each other. I love to go on hikes with my family and biking trips. I enjoy making friends with those around me. I love to learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Me
Though we weren't a military family, my family moved around more than most. Because of that, I love to move! I love meeting new people and seeing new places. I was a nanny for several years and then went to college where I majored in both art and literature. I had intended to get my masters in Library Science, but ended up getting married instead. I still plan on getting my masters - it is a dream that is currently unfulfilled, but I know I will eventually be able to work towards that end. I am currently a stay at home mom to 4 year old. He is smart as a whip and we do a lot of learning at home. He has been asking when he can go to school since he was almost 3. When I am not bust with my son, I read or embroider, and I even like gaming.

About Me
Hi, I'm Jared. I've loved to learn all my life, and so, no surprise, I became a teacher! Although endorsed as a language arts teacher (I love the art of words and the power of writing throughout the ages), I also love astronomy, history, biology, anatomy, visual arts, and social arts and culture. My wife and I found each other via online dating (yes, it can work!), and have one beautiful child. For hobbies, I enjoy hiking, creative writing, analytical writing, designing solar systems, and designing "alien" societies. I also love video games, where I can experience virtual realities or simulations (which works well when you like to write sci fi or fantasy).

About Me
I'm married to loving and patient man. We have four children who are all adults now. I have many interests--the greatest is a need to learn. That is why I train. It requires me to keep learning so I can be a better tainer. I also get to travel all over the United States to do this training. When I'm home, I'm home. I don't like to eat out or go anywhere--that's because I've already done tht all week while I trained. Gardening, crafts such as cross stitch, reading, exercising and preparing healthy, good tasting meals occupy my time when I'm not traveling.

About Me
I graduated college and began teaching first grade in Arizona. I was in love(!) and so excited/relieved that I had, indeed, chosen the right career for myself. I taught first grade for two wonderful years and then taught one year of kindergarten before having my first son. I was quite confident going into motherhood after having experience as a teacher. If I could easily manage a classroom full of 30 6-year-olds, surely I could handle a child, right? Ha! I love nothing more than being a mommy... but to tell you the truth, most days I am barely hanging on by my fingernails. I now have two VERY energetic, beautiful boys. Dom is 3 and Dame is almost 2. Baby number 3 is on the way! I have an amazingly sweet and talented husband, Rich, who laughs with me when things get crazy around here, and who supports my need to take pictures all.the.time. I love taking pictures... though I am certainly no photographer, not even close. I love to blog. It's my way of recording life as it happens. I love to exercise (I can't believe those words are coming out of my mouth!) I love, love, love spending time with my family, and I love a girl's night out every so often! Whoa, that's a lot of love.
