Hi my name is Sterling, I am a European/Maori, my wife and I have 3 children, who have all grown up and left home. We are now just left with the pets. We own and operate a small inner city motor repair shop, which keeps us both very busy. I enjoy family gatherings, which of cause would have to include eating, when it is my turn, preparing the traditional Maori Hangi for extended family and friends is always a favourite. I also enjoy camping, relaxing, Hunting and Gathering in the great outdoors. I also enjoy restoring and Cruising in American Classic cars. I like Road Cycling, I like the Training, the Speed, and the challenge of the Events I enter. I ballroom dance weekly and I love dancing with my wife.
My mother was second generation member of the church, she introduced the Gospel to my father. So I was taught the teachings of the Gospel from a young child. As I grew in the gospel I developed an understanding of the importance of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have continued to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, in doing so introduced the gospel to my wife, and we have raised our family in the Gospel. The Gospel has given me the opportunity to serve. To be a better husband and father. Accept responsibility, and develop spiritual strength.
I have many opportunities to serve the people within the church and the community by service projects, or even through my business as a motor mechanic by fundraising and or sponsorship, by supporting local schools and kindergartens. I enjoy serving those I visit through Home Teaching and in my Calling by giving counsel through my church talks. I like to support any activities that our church holds. I try to be a good example to the people I see each day, by living my faith.
