My name is Sunday. I was born in Nigeria but now live in Austria. I work as a male Nurse, my special area is Geriatrics. I love working with old people and it makes me happy in helping them. My hobbies are dancing Salsa, Nordic walking, and doing service activity. I am married, with one son.
I chose to be a Mormon because of the True Gospel and also the High standard request. When I met the Missionaries I never wanted to listen to them but one day I decided to read the Book of Mormon and I felt the spirit. I know now that God lives and Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I came back from School and I was looking for something to read in English because the School was in German and all day everything was in German. I had a very bad habit of reading while sitting too long. I found a book in English in my room and sat down there for more than one and half hours reading. Then I felt the pain, then realised that I was sitting too long. I came out thinking about what I have read, and not ten minutes later the Missionaries gave me a call telling me that they are just in my area and they just want to say hello to me. Then I invited the missionaries because I had some information for them. The Missionaries came and I narrated the story to them. One of the Missionaries said God has touched your Heart.
Joseph Smith was a young boy who wanted to know the True Gospel. He remembered what was written in the Bible, " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men". He did ask God and he received an answer to his question. The same is true for us: if we have a question let us ask God who giveth wisdom to all mankind. I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed to know if it is a true story. I did receive my answer that it is true. I do believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, through him we did receive the Doctrine. His life was short but he did wonderful things.
When I joined the Church, I was so welcomed by the members and started to learn the Doctrines of the Church. My first calling was to teach the Primary Children. Teaching the Primary children made me learn many things because all the children know the Doctrine better than I do. After some years I was called as Secretary in the Young Men's. This calling made me to know the standard of the church. After some years I was called as Secretary in the Men's movement, which I served with members born into the Gospel. There I learnt how to go Home Teaching and to support and serve each member of my Ward. After some months I was called to serve as the First Counselor to Men's Movement President. There I had the opportunity to visit the Temple for the first time. After a year and a half I was called as the mens movement President of the Ward. Which made me know all the members of the Ward and serve them. We had many activities together. One of my experiences during this time was the time we had Cultural Night and we found out that we members represented many Countries all over the World. Some years later I was called to be the Bishop. I tried my best to magnify my calling by serving the members, helping, teaching, proclaiming the Gospel and not forgetting my family.
