Prayer is the way I communicate with my Heavenly Father. He listens and guides me when I need to talk to Him. It is through prayer that I thank Him for all that He’s given me.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The power of procreation is sacred. Our Heavenly Father has given us the commandment that the sacred power and privilege of having sex be exercised only between a man and woman, who must be legally married. We call this the law of chastity, which means we should not have sex before the sacred covenant of marriage. Also during our marriage we have sex only with our spouse. Respect for the law of chastity gives us security, happiness, peace and love. This also strengthens marriage and protects our family. The lack of observation of this law carries serious consequences. However, people who violated this law may obtain pardon and peace through repentance and obedience to God's laws. Our Heavenly Father wants the best for you and all your children. The power to create children is very sacred. Our Father in Heaven has commanded that the sacred power and privilege of sexual relations be exercised only between a man and woman who are legally married. This is the law of chastity. It means that we must not have sexual relations before we are married, and after we are married we should have sexual relations only with our husband or wife. Keeping the law of chastity brings safety, happiness, peace, and self-respect. It also deepens married love and protects families. Breaking this law is serious. But those who have broken it can gain forgiveness and peace through repentance and obedience. God wants the best for you and for all of His children. They are peaceful, pure places, where only those who have committed to live the most discipled lives can go to ponder and pray. They are places where we learn about God's plan for all of humanity, and where we promise to do all in our power to help all of His children, and receive promises that we can be with Him as well. We wear white clothing that is simple, and remove our watches and bling, to demonstrate a willingness to let go of our day-to-day concerns to focus on the real things: people, and their worth to God.
